LA NOSTRA MISSIONE
The purpose of the Italian Club is to promote and encourage knowledge and interest in Italian and Italian-American art, culture, history, language, science, technology, economics, and all such matters and affairs, both contemporary as well as historical. Also, our purpose is to recognize and honor in a public manner, those individuals who have distinguished themselves through their service to the Italian-American community of our area.
CELEBRATING ITALIAN HERITAGE FOR
Since its founding in 1922, the Club has been unique among Italian organizations in St. Louis in its mission. Back in 1922, the Club’s focus was to bring Italian-Americans together for support. Eventually, the Club’s purpose evolved to promoting knowledge and interest in Italian language, culture, and history. The Club awards annual scholarships to students studying the Italian language. In addition, the Club recognizes and honors individuals who have distinguished themselves through their service to the Italian-American community of the Saint Louis area. Our anniversary motto of “SEMPRE AVANTI” meaning “always forward” points us to the next 100 years in which we will expand our membership, award larger scholarships, and increase special event programming, including a member-led trip to Italy.
